In my last post I told you about my new study program. Well 5 days later I wanted to share what I have discovered. I look forward to reading and learning this way. It is first on my list for the day and not the last and I find myself enjoying it so much I don't want to stop. Unusual for me since I always had my bed calling to me so I would rush through. I have known for some time that I am a morning person so now I'm taking advantage of that instead of idling it away. My days seem to go a lot better, I have always heard this from others but now I know for my self. I have learned and have new insight into the purpose of the creation account in the OT, and the important truths and principles taught in it. I'm now onto lesson 2 in this course Genesis 4-23 "The Patriarchs". I like that it has a little quiz at the end of each lesson to check yourself and I'm proud to say I got 9 out of 10 right. I couldn't remember if the Masoretic Text or the Septuagint was the oldest, man how lame is that? But I will never forget it now! I have one last thing to say and then I'm taking one week off of blogging, not studying though because I have 19 chapters to read during this week. I love the scriptures and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to read them and apply them in my life. I know that studying not just reading has enriched my life and I plan to continue, I also know if I falter one day I can pick it up the next. I love my Heavenly Father and His son my Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ. I testify of Their existence and Their love for us because I have felt it especially this week as I have studied and as I have experienced life.
Thanks for reading and I will catch up with you in a week, after my vacation with frivolous things like how much fun and how much I love Lake Powell. I hope my eldest boy can take care of my little dog and home this week, scary thought but we will hope for the best!!!
