A lot of people say he looks like Santa Claus, but never and I MEAN NEVER let him hear you say that! He certainly can be jolly but he likes to portray gruff much more often. He is a great guy and really can keep things lively. You can be sitting there minding your own business when all of a sudden he will say " Remember that time you said (or did) such and such, well it was wrong!!!" Well you hadn't really said (or did) what he was talking about so you feel inclined to defend yourself, you might as well forget it because it doesn't matter really he just likes to stir things up.
He does really have a very kind heart and would give you anything you needed and he is always good for a laugh. I remember one time right after Scott and I got married we were traveling to Art's cabin in Montana, I always had to eat on a schedule or I would get really shakey and sick to my stomach (It could have been because I weighed like 100 pounds back then, who knows!). Well Art never stopped for food on the way up but as soon as he found out I was getting sick he found the nearest place to stop just so I could get som
ething to eat.
Who ever meets Art, never forgets him!
He loves his grandkids and he likes to be around his family. He has been a hard worker his whole life and has taught his son, my husband, how to work hard too. He can curse like a sailor and say anything that pops in his head but he is a good man. His family has taught him a lot and he has become more tolerant of our religious views and lifestyles...I love ya, Art. I hope you have a wonderful Father's Day and birthday.

Very nice tribute to Art! I need to get on the stick and post things about my dad and hubby....and father-in-law and step-father. That's a lot of posting!
