And the desert shall blossom as a rose!!

Well as you know I live in Utah. We live in a desert right? Wrong. This June we have been having rain almost everyday with one or two days a week where the sun might actually peek out and warm things up.

I shouldn't really complain though because my yard (if I do say so myself) looks gorgeous! The flowers are blooming ...
and the garden is growing. This is actually the first year we planted a garden since we have lived in this house, good timing right? We are so excited to have tomatoes, 2 different types of peppers and what I really love, Spinach.

In fact yesterday I made our first spinach salad with our own spinach and our own strawberries. Yummy!!! I'm a gardener, I garden.

So there are advantages to the rain but I still love and look forward to the warm dry air. Brigham Young was right about this dry barren land and others doubted it would be so.... as for me I believe!

My parents told me about the crazy amount of rain you've had. Your yard looks beautiful and that is so fun you had strawberry spinach salad from your own garden!

Your yard DOES look beautiful. We just love coming over. In fact, when I finally get to the point of tackling my back yard, I want to plan Honeysuckle. It smells wonderful.

Absolutely gorgeous photos! And gorgeous things growing in your garden, too! We have some bushes now. ;-) I just don't have the gardening gene.

Thanks for your nice comments on my blog, but as you already know, the kids come how they come! I'm afraid I did more to mess them up than help them! Luckily, they have their dad!
