Where do I begin?

How and where do you begin telling about a trip that lasts 3 weeks? We packed more into the last 3 weeks than I can pack into 2 months when I'm home. I feel totally spoiled to have had the chance to drop everything and play all day everyday for that long. I left all my important duties and responsibilities in very capable hands. I would be ungrateful if I didn't thank those that did my work for me while I was away. Thanks Seletha, Jan and Pam for doing my church duties for me. Thanks to my boys, daughter and daughters room mate for taking care of my dog, getting us to and from the airport, and taking care of my home. You are all the greatest and I love you!

I was able to explored France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey and Croatia. 14 days on a cruise ship and the rest on land. No wonder my balance has been off all week!

My wonderful Hubby, I, and some friends had the chance to visit Paris and Normandy for 3 days beginning Oct. 26th.

We hit the ground running after our plane landed by picking up a rental car and driving to Normandy to spend that day and half of the following day visiting the sites of that terrible battle. We are in such awe and admiration of the valiant men who lost their lives during that fateful battle. The cemetery was so incredible. So many lives lost to preserve freedom, can we ever not be grateful? My heart goes out to all who have or will ever lose someone in war to protect us and our way of life.

Then it was on to Paris for 2 1/2 days. I can't even understand all the jokes about the French because I absolutely love the people of France and their country. I have been treated so kindly and it is so beautiful, especially by night on a segway. I felt like the "Mall Cop". It was a blast and I'm so grateful I didn't take the tumble that our friend Mike took. What a trooper Mike was after his incredible biff!!! He got up and finished the ride. He was bruised on his backside pretty badly and he is a true believer in helmets now as well, without it he would have been badly injured!
We enjoyed the sites of Paris and then on friday the 30th it was off to Barcelona, Spain.....

I loved your first installment and can't wait to read the rest. It sounds amazing. What a great idea to ride the segways. That pic of the two of you in front of the tower at night is so cool.
