In my previous posts I've told you about my son joining the Air Force, right? Well he has some really great examples in our family of serving our country. From oldest to youngest in the picture is my Dad (skinny guy front left, must be where Josh gets it). He served in the Army Air Core during World War II. My step father (back right) served in the Army during the Korean War time frame. My Father in Law (front right) served in the Army in the Korean War as well. My brother not pictured because he lives out of state, served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. My brother in law (center, front) served in the Air Force during the Vietnam war. He also had great grandfathers serve our country as well (Great grandfather served in the Army during World War I) whether in the military or on the home front. We love and honor each of them for their sacrifice for the freedoms we have and enjoy today and in many places around the world. He has a lot to live up too, but he is well on his way. We are proud of him, so we decided to welcome him back from basic training (much worse than the movies portray) and tech school with a party of family and close friends. He has quite a support group so here are a few photo of a few of them. Thanks guys, we love you all.

I'm glad he made it home in one piece. It wouldn't surprise if Gavin follows his footsteps one day. Everytime we see someone in uniform he gets excited, "Look mom, a soldier!" and then stares at the poor person until he can't see them any more.
