Calorie Counting
Well the hubby and I have come to the conclusion that we need to lose some of this weight that has been accumulating over the long winter! Unlike the creatures that hibernate and lose the weight they built up before winter set in, as we have been hibernating this winter we have been eating like we might not get too the next day and piling on the weight. Why is that as soon as we start our new regimen the male starts losing weight like over night? While the female has to work her you know what off (literally speaking) to even begin to drop a half a pound!!! We have been keeping track of everything we put in our mouths and the calories associated to it. Of course exercise is a must! I wish I was more dedicated to excercise than I am, I do really good one week and the next I slack off. What do you do to get rid of a few lb's? Any one out there a personal trainer that would like to take me on for a really cheap price? I have my own equipment in the basement but I seem to waste the day away without getting down there. Someone MOTIVATE me, please!

I love My Fitness Pal.com
I enter all the information for me and it keeps track of where I am for food and exercise. My motivator is that I know if I exercise, I get a higher calorie allotment for the day. :)
Plus, it always helps to work out with a friend. Come with me and Nell every morning. I go right after I drop Izzy off at school - only $10 a month. :)
I know it is hard. It is hard for me every day. If I had my way, I'd lay in bed, read, and eat bags and bags of chocolate. Seriously!
Good luck. Share your secrets with us. Oh, and try the green shake I blogged about. It is less than 200 calories, it fills you up, and it is great for you - plus it tastes great!
I find that a workout buddy is a must, and actually going to the gym or setting a routine is too. Then you can't slack off because someone else is depending on you.
And if you are at the gym, then the world is watching you so you feel pressure to work harder. haha That last point is silly, but works for me.
Not a trainer but I tell you what worked for me. While watching TV in Hawaii enjoying a huge shake with whoopers I saw a commercial for the Special K challenge. I committed myself then and there to do it when I got home. The web site has menu ideas, great recipes and losing weight tips. I lost 6 lbs in 2 weeks.
