It came without ribbons! It came without tags! It came without packages, boxes, or bags!

“And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow,
stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons.
It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags.
And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore.
Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before.
What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store.
What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.”

It came without all the usual hustle and bustle. It came in spite of all the tragedy that surrounded us. It came as a symbol of the real meaning of Christmas and our real purpose in life. To mourn with those that mourn and to help lift burdens. My missionary son wrote this to me when I was telling him of our month and my fear of not being ready for Christmas;

Don't stress out about Christmas. You're living the holiday season with your service, God wants the holidays lived no other way, so take comfort that you are spending it God's way.

We did live it the way our Heavenly Father wants it lived and I'm so grateful for the knowledge we have of life after death. I am grateful for Christ and His atoning sacrifice for all men. I love Christmas and the feelings it brings as we celebrate the birth of the Redeemer!!
