General Conference Book Club

I found this blog devoted to reading the Conference talks then sharing insights and thoughts as we study it and receive inspiration. The goal is to read one General Conference talk a week and discuss it in the on-line “book club.” A new talk will be posted each Sunday. I would like to invite you if you are interested in checking it out. I think it will enhance my daily study of present day counsel from our living Prophets.

Stephanie the author of the blog said the following "My own plan is to let each talk guide my personal scripture study throughout the week. First I’ll read the talk all the way through, then look up and read all the scripture references he quoted, and then break the talk down into segments to study them carefully and try to find other related scriptures that help me understand it better. Feel free to share any ideas of how you plan to study or apply the talks we read. (You’re allowed to do this however you want. You can simply have a goal to read the talk before the week is over, and that’s good, too.)."
Week one has been posted here and the first week is the talk by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland "None were with Him." You may also listen to it below:

Hey, thank you for promoting the book club! I've been excited by how many people have expressed interest. It was fun to scroll around on your blog and get to know you a little bit, too. :)

What a neat ideah! :) When the conference Ensign comes I plan to take the challenge and read the scriptures mentioned in the talks, as well as the talks themselves! That will be a great activity to do on sundays! :)

Hi Diane,
I love your blog. What fun adventures you have been having. It's so hard to believe the kids are all grown up. I don't know why since my own are. :) You have a special place in my heart.

That's a great idea! I might have to look into it myself. I love reading the talks every conference.

Hope all is well =)
