I left my heart in San Francisco!!!

I literally left my Heart in San Francisco!!! this is my oldest son and he has lived in SF for 2 years now. I went to visit last week for 4 days. I loved seeing him and having him all to myself. We really enjoyed spending time with each other. A few weeks ago Aaron told me he rode his bicycle across the Golder Gate Bridge and I told him I was jealous so he invited me to come and we could do it together. Well I did go and we did ride our bikes from his apartment, up and down the hilly roads of SF,

through the Golden Gate Park,

across the bridge, back across the bridge,

and along the beach back to his house. Aaron said he thought it was around 23 miles....It seemed a lot longer to me!

One afternoon we ate lunch at the beach a few blocks from Aaron's apartment and this bird wanted my egg salad sandwich very badly. He kept side stepping ever so closer. The whole time I kept thinking about that creepy old movie "The Birds" and just new he would attack me for my sandwich. But he didn't thank goodness. He definitely had personality though.

One day we drove down to Santa Cruz just to get away from the city for awhile. It is about an hour south of SF and it was extremely warm. They have an amusement park along the beach and a boardwalk. We loved it there!!!

I'm so glad I went! I'm grateful Scott supported me and even encouraged me to go. I loved every minute even if our hotel was the noisiest place I have ever stayed before. I'm grateful for my son and I think he is the greatest!!! It's strange to think all my boys live outside the state and I really don't like it very much but it gives me an excuse to go visit other places. In fact we will be going to San Antonio in about 7 weeks to see Josh graduate from basic training, Hooray!!

We are envious. Ryan and I love SF. I'm glad you had a good time with Aaron. I'm sure you will both remember the trip for years to come.

Looks like you had a great time. San Fran is one place I have on my list of must sees. That sounds so awesome to ride your bike over the "bridge". Very jealous of all this traveling and adventures you're doing, but I'm glad you are able to go.
