A letter from the mission field

I received this email Sunday from a sister in my Missionary Mom email group and I just had to share it here. We also had a phone call on thursday night from Ben's mission president telling us what a good missionary Ben is. Good stuff!!

Hi Diane,
I saw your Elder today and he looks great. He said that it isn't as cold here as it was in his last area, but we do have more snow. Yesterday our low was -2 and the wind chill made it -12. I can't imagine Warden being colder, but I don't know much about that area. The Elders live with a really nice family. Brother Torres is in the Branch Presidency and speaks English. His wife served a mission and learned Spanish. They have 1 son who is a cub scout. I asked the Torres' if the Elders did the shoveling, but she said they are hardly ever there because they are so busy. That is wonderful. She said she did knock on the door one morning and asked them to help shovel her out and they were more than happy to help. His companion, Elder Morelos, is a great missionary. We got to know him when the Spanish branch met with our ward. He was transferred and then came back again. We all like him a lot. If there is anything we can do for your Elder just let me know! We all love the missionaries up here. Tonight we are expected to get another 6" of snow with 2 more storms coming this week - oh the joy!! Take care and enjoy having a missionary. It is a special time for your family.

That is a very nice letter to get! You must be so pleased with him. You have some good, handsome boys! It was great to see Aaron at Christmas.
