Time to check into the ole blog!!

Time has gotten away from me. I have been so busy trying to learn my new job at the Temple that my blog has suffered. I am finally starting to feel comfortable but it takes a lot of schedule changing every week. I lkie the responsibility because I get to see the Lords work in action weekly if not daily!

In March we had the wonderful opportunity of flying to San Diego with my cousin Carina, her husband Kris, and their little 3 year old son Merrick. Kris got baptised one year ago into the LDS church and they chose the San Diego Temple to have their little family sealed together for time and all eternity!
The Temple is so gorgeous! Inside and out. The day of their sealing was rainy but the sun was shining brightly inside that day.

The night before the sealing we went to take pictures and to find the way there. Merrick was so taken by the Temple that he wanted in right then and there! We know he was feeling the spirit, he is so close to the veil that just being in his presence is magical. I have a great love for this little special needs child. We have a bond that will not be broken! All the Temple photoswere taken by my cousin, she also did the pictures at our open house in September. She is quite talented.

There were many miracles that made this trip and this day possible. Many road blocks were overcome. First and foremost was the airfare, when we first started planning it was over $300 a person to fly. That was impossible for this little family of 3 to afford, then one day we decided to meet at my house to look over the airfare again and our options. Scott was able just before they arrived to find a smoking deal flying into long beach for $120 each. Right after we booked our flights the price sky rocketed again! In February I got really sick for about 3 1/2 weeks and lost most of my strength, finally I recovered (except for my ribs which are still sore from coughing so much). Then Carina and her family got sick and people were trying to encourage her to cancel the trip and just go to the Bountiful Temple here. We were worried but everyone recovered just in time! We made it! It was a fabulous day!

I will blog tomorrow on the rest of the trip. We decided to make a vacation of it and go to Disneyland as well. I thought only Temples could have the sweet spirit of Christ until I attended Disneyland with a special needs child! They know how to treat those that struggle.
