Christmas Time

The Sunday before Christmas My SIL Debbie, (my brother drives a truck and usually is unable to come) and I get our families (this year Scott and I constituted our family) together at my step dad's house for a little Christmas party. We eat pizza and decorate gingerbread houses. My brother and SIL have the cutest grandkids and they have such a good time mostly eating the candies that go on the houses. But that's ok since Kyle and Meghan have to take them home on their sugar high and not me!!!

Courtney, Gavin,Meghan, Keesha, Deb and me.

On Monday night Scott and I took the train to Salt Lake and met Scott's 2 sisters, nephew Curtis, his wife Niyi and their little boy Bennett. We enjoyed dinner together and went to see the Christmas lights at Temple Square. The lights are so beautiful and we had a great time inspite of the very cold weather.

Then Wednesday night, Christmas Eve, was our traditional Italian dinner Scott's grandmother started many Christmas' ago. Dinner includes fish balls (anchovy and cod), fried fish, anchovy spaghetti, Gnocchi and salad (lot's of carbs!! but oh so yummy). We enjoy getting together and especially love the bingo game and prizes after the food is all cleaned up.

In the picture are Curtis (our nephew who lives in Chicago going to Law school (Lawyers?? j/k), Aaron home from San Francisco, Gene and Jared (step bro in laws). That is Amelia and Cayden in the background.

A few days later we celebrate all the birthdays that come after, Aaron (24), Jentri (4), Macee (6), and Bennett (2).

Fun times but I'm definitely looking forward to January, maybe I will get some scrapbooking done!!!
