Mission call, Homecoming, Manti Temple, Farewell and MTC

I've been such a bad blogger so here is my attempt to get caught up on a few things.

In March Ben recieved his mission call to serve in the Washington Spokane Spanish Speaking Mission. That was the most touching experience I have witnessed in a long time as Ben had tears streaming down his cheeks the whole time. The Spirit was so strong. I'm so proud of my boy!

Then June 18th we were able to Welcome Home Elder Josh Jacobson from the Mississippi Jackson Mission. He has turned into a man after he left just a boy. We have had so much fun listening to his experiences and hearing about the great people in the south. It is so good to have him home even if he will be leaving again soon. Josh has chosen with much prayer to join the Air Force reserves and he is determined to leave as ASAP so he will be done with basic training and Tech school so he can be home for Christmas.
The boys had one week home together then back down to Provo to send Elder Ben Jacobson into the MTC. It was a whirlwind week with as much packed in as possible. The highlights were the Homecoming/ Farewell we were able to share with our family and friends and the trip we went on to the Manti Temple (Scott and I were married there 32 years ago on Aug. 19th).

At the Chapel we met at to send Elder Ben Jacobson into the MTC he asked his brother to put on his name tag on. We have been so blessed to have 2 sons be missionaries. Elder Ben leaves the MTC for the field on August 26th. He didn't much care for the MTC the first day but is now enjoying it and compares it to EFY everyday. We pray for Ben to receive the gift of tongues and see that it also takes hard work on his part to get that gift.
